L'Oreal Paris Glam Shine Stain Splash Milady 402

So I already have a YSL Glossy Stain, but when I heard about these Loreal Glam Shine Stain Splashes and the fact they were a dupe for the YSL (who doesn't love a good dupe!) I knew I had to give them a go. I picked this one up in the colour Milady as it was the darkest and I wanted to make a good comparrison between this and my Glossy Stain.

First off, I really like the packaging of these and how they have a little transparent band so you can see the colour, I like helpful products! I think the sleek silver and shape of these makes them really stand out and instantly recogniseable. The applicator is the same as the YSL one, a little doe foot. With a little well that picks up the product I find that this makes it fairly easy to apply although I can end up going over my lip line, not a good look. The formula itself is very similar to the YSL one if I was to be picky I’d say that this is actually a lot less sticky than the glossy stain which I prefer and more opaque. Whereas my glossy stain had a kind of transparent plum look to it. I feel I only need one coat but two gives it more of a pop and it has a very long wear time. It feels quite cool and fresh going onto the lips if that makes sense, it doesn't feel heavy or sticky at all.

I’m going to be brutally honest and possibly a little controversial but I actually prefer this to the YSL glossy stains (not just because I can buy 2 of them or 3 on 3 for 2 for the price of one glossy stain) because despite this being a dark colour I really love it, I find it much more wearable than my glossy stain and it is a firm favourite of mine. I would love to get another glossy stain just because the colour I have I’m not exactly crazy about. For the moment though I am loving these and have bought another 3!

What do you think if these and how they compare to the YSL glossy stains?
