Friday Favourite; Bare Minerals The Next Big Thing Eyeshadow Quad

Rising Star, Smash Hit, Hoopla, Ensemble

You know those makeup products you instantly fall in love with, that you know you need to have! Well the Bare Minerals Next Big Thing Palette was that for me. I actually first seen it at an event and thought the colours were amazing. This was actually part of the limited edition spring collection REMIX, all of which have this gorgeous shiny blue packaging. I also have the blusher from this collection (something about this must hav caught my eye as I am not usually a big bare minerals fan). So as I mentioned this was limited edition and it took me a while to find one! I know you are now all thinking why is she telling us about something we can't even buy anymore! Well because I have only recently started using it, yes I loved it but I just never really got round to trying it out before and I actually am loving the colours for Autumn/Winter.
Onto the product, it is a Ready eyeshadow quad, meaning all the pigments bare minerals use are pressed down instead of being a loose powder. The 4 colours in the Next Big Thing Palette are starting from the top left, Rising Star, a lovely light yellow toned metallic with plenty of shimmer, perfect highlight or all over lid colour for more natural looks! Smash Hit, I love this colour even though it isn't one I would usually consider wearing, its a sort of coral toned orange and is matte. Next up the other matte eyeshadow in Ensemble a gorgeous deep dark plum which leans more on the purple side. Last up is Hoopla a gorgeous bronzey gold with plenty of shimmer, this one is actually so pigmented and my favourite of them all! They all have really good pigmentation, Ensemble might be slightly less but it builds up to achieve a gorgeous colour. I get a good 10 hours wear time with them as well! The price was reasonable as well at £29 for the quad and I am seriously chuffed with them. Recently I have been loving these as I think even though this was a spring palette the colours are perfect for this time of year. I put Rising star on as a highlight, Hoopla all over my lid, Smash Hit as my transition and Ensemble as my crease colour and outer V and blend it all in, very autumnal!

I know I said I didnt think you could buy this anymore but a quick google search later and it is availible to buy on Feel Unique and Beauty Bay for a little under what I paid!

Have you ever bought anything intended for one season and felt it was more suited to another?
