Skincare Sunday | Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum

Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum from Escentual £17 currently £12.75*

I've been testing out this little lovely Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum* for just over a couple of weeks now and I have to say that after my Hydraluron experience I have become exceptionally wary of products claiming to boost hydration. Avene use Thermal spring water in all of their skincare products that is said to provide an immediate calming effect on the skin. The soothing hydrating serum also contains a patented liposome that ensures optimum moisturisation in the upper levels of the skin as well as glycerin to effectively moisturize and provide comfort to sensitive skin. It is perfect for sensitive skin and those skin types that are prone to reactions caused by stress, polution etc as it provides an effective barrier against further damage.
So what has it done for me!
Well you all know I was skeptical but from the first try I was impressed, it goes on silky soft and provides a soothing barrier over the skin and when I was cleansing that night my skin felt a little more plumped up and some of the redness I get had went down significantly. I have been applying this day and night with my usual moisturizer over it and I would one hundred percent say I am very impressed as my skin feels a lot softer and plumper than usual, definitely a bonus for me, the redness has been reduced but this can vary day to day I'm guessing its a hormonal thing as thats what my doctor says my redness is. The ultimate test came today at my other job, working with food means I am constantly near heat and this stresses my skin and makes my redness 100 times worse I usually leave with red patches all over and my usual red area looking very angry. I applied the avene serum this morning and when I looked at my face just the usual small patch of redness that was nowhere near as bad as usual! This for me is now a must have the difference it has make to the moisture content of my skin has been amazing!

  1. I've used this serum before and was really impressed with all well it moisturised my skin, its good for sensitive and allergy prone skin too! It's great that you found it made such a difference to your skin. The only downside that I found was that it would sometimes feel a little sticky.

I love using the Avene products, I used the soapless gel cleanser all the time, which is really good for oily/blemish prone skin and lasts such a long time.

You have a really pretty blog design!

    1. Yeah it's been really good as I have quite sensitive skin so it has been helping a lot. Yeah I've got a few wee samples as well and I am sure the cleanser is one of them.

      Thank you so much xx

    1. Yeah I think it just depends on how bad your redness happens to be that day xx
