La Roche-Posay Rosaliac CC Creme Review

So today I am talking CC Creams, now these are products along with the whole BB craze that I never really got into, nothing impressed me and I felt it was all very gimmicky and everyone and their granny was jumping on the bandwagon.

However recently I have been trying out La Roche Posay's Rosaliac CC Creme from Escentual*, the creme de la creme, the cream of the crop, I'm done with my hilarious terrible jokes,  honest. Time to get serious, La Roche-Posay have already impressed me with the cult Effaclar Duo [+] and I was both excited and a little nervous to try this out. The Rosaliac range from La Roche-Posay is specially designed to soothe, protect and comfort redness prone skin.

This sounds ideal to me as my skin is sensitive and as soon as I remove my makeup at night the redness is looking right at me. Given, it is not as bad as other people, I don't have rosacea or anything like that but some days it's so bad that you can still see it peeking out through my makeup, not ideal! So I have been on a mission to try anything that may help my awkward and difficult skin.

The Rosaliac CC Creme is the newest addition to the range and is designed to also replace your daily skincare and be a great makeup base that colour corrects redness, conceals and using this daily can even help reduce redness over time. It also has SPF 30 in it amongst some other nice skincare ingredients to keep your skin looking good! It does come in a universal shade and being a girl who has seen bits of paper with more colour in them this scared me. Previous experience of the one shade suits all products has made me think of my early teen self wearing foundation 5 10 shades darker than my natural skin tone. I put this on and blended it in, given it is a little smidge dark for me but it got the seal of approval from my biggest "tango face" critic, my Dad (yes that is what he used to call me). Who said that it looked natural and gave me some colour, thumbs up then!

Another issue I have with CC creams is the coverage I never find them heavy enough to actual conceal my redness. La Roche-Posay's offering gives a lot more coverage than I expected it definitely does an amazing job of cancelling out those pesky bits of redness I have around my nose. At the moment I'm not totally confident enough to just go with a CC creme, us girls eh, so I do apply a very light coverage foundation over it, usually L'oreal true match as the CC Creme makes this look less yellow on me, double bonus. On that amazingly sunny day we had on Friday I am going to fess up and say I wore this, just this on my face as I didn't feel like putting anything too heavy on and it lasted well, a good 14 hours and I still looked fresh faced and not shiny at all.

Now back to those claims that using it regularly reduces redness, I have been using the Rosaliac CC Creme along with a few other La Roche-Posay products every day nearly for 2 weeks now and the difference I have seen in my skin has been huge (to me anyway) the redness around my nose is something that really gets me down and even a dermatologist hasn't been able to tell me what is causing it but this has helped massively in my opinion!

I actually don't like looking at the pictures of it but hopefully you cab see from the before that my skin was really red and angry looking it was also quite sore and itchy whenever I put makeup on. The after is actually taken first thing in the morning just after washing my face when it would usually flare up and hopefully you can see the difference, it's now more slight dispersed patches and is nowhere near as red or irritable. If this is the  difference after just 2 weeks I'm looking forward to the next few weeks and hopefully seeing an even bigger change in my skin.

So it's a big thumbs up from a former CC Cream hater, I definitely have been loving this and it does what it says and it does it well. If you want to give this a go you can get the La Roche-Posay CC Creme from Escentual for £16.55
