La Roche-Posay Effaclar Anti Blemish System

I think any regular blog readers will by now know of my love for La Roche-Posay. They were my first venture into French skincare and I have never looked back. I have spoken many times about my love for LRP's Effaclar Duo + (here) and (here). So when I heard they were releasing a new 3 step skincare regimen anti-blemish system I was very excited to get my hands on it.

The Effaclar Anti Blemish system is of course targeted at those with oily and blemish prone skin. I did discuss that often my skin can become oily and like many of us I suffer from those hormonal outbreaks. So I welcome anything that will keep my skin balanced.

The set contains 3 items the Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser ( I already use this and love it), the Effaclar Clarifying toner and the Effaclar Duo + Serum. The toner is the only thing not currently availible here in the UK until now. I am really hoping they will release this as well as it is only available in the set at the moment.

Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser
I really enjoy using the cleanser, usually as my second cleanse or in the morning as it helps balance out any oiliness. I don't usually like foaming cleansers but this one is an exception, it doesn't leave my skin feeling stripped and removes all traces of makeup.

Effaclar Clarifying Toner
This is a lovely toner it is a sort of liquid exfoliator as it contains a BHA (Beta Hydoxy Acid). I love this stuff it exfoliates and is really gentle at the same time. If I use this on a breakout its usually gone by the time I wake up in the morning.

Effaclar Duo +
Is definitely the best blemish serum I have tried. This is my go to when my skin starts getting a bit unruly and I will definitely be keeping it in my skincare regimen.

I love the Effaclar set and think that having 3 products all designed to target blemishes and oily skin in a different way is amazing. I will be honest I don't use the products all twice a day. I use the cleanser mostly at night and the toner as well. I use the serum every day and on pesky spots at night. I work the products into my skincare regimen but someone starting out with skincare could easily rely on these 3. I am currently praying that LRP release the Clarifying toner seperately here in the UK.

It is available on Boots for £32.50.

  2. I've wanted to try this range for ages - my skin is so indecisive though, it can be dry but then it can turn oily so I'm not sure if it would be too strong for me. Think I'll give the serum a go though :)

  3. This looks like such a good skincare set and the price is actually pretty affordable for 3 products! I've tried the Effaclar Duo before but never repurchased it even though I liked it maybe this will give me a reason to pick it up again. xo

  6. I really like this set, especially the cleanser (which I use every morning) and the Effaclar Duo+ which I just use when I think I need it. I liked the toner too but I've recently been using the Merumaya one which I like even better! xo
