Skincare Sunday: Jurlique Calendula Redness Rescue Serum

Jurlique Calendula Restorative Treatment Serum £45*

Since I started blogging serums are something I have gotten into a lot more, my skincare is out of control but this is one product I rely on day in and day out. Having problematic skin is something that many people struggle with so finding a product that works is amazing. I'll get into more about the actual product!

For those of you who haven't heard about Jurlique before they are an Australian based botanicals company set up by a German couple who had a vision to "formaulate and manufacture the purest skincare products available based on the healing properties of nature". The products themselves have a potent concentration of the natural plants they are made from and each range is targeted at a skin concern.

The Calendula Redness Rescue range is targeted at those with visible redness, due to sensitivity or skin conditions such as Rosacea. All the products in this range contain a comforting complex that includes Calendula extract. This helps  to soothe sensitive skin, hydrate and balance the skins moisture (dehydrated skin often suffers from redness) and protect against environmental aggressors that can make redness worse.

The Calendula Restorative Treatment Serum does all this and a little bit more. It has anti-irritant benefits and also helps to restore the skins epidermal defences. It contains soothing cucumber and chamomile. This means the serum gets to work straight away calming the skin and also helps to  prevent future damage to it through continued use.

The serum itself is quite thin and watery and therefore applies easily to the skin. It sinks in straight away and the smell of chamomile is very relaxing. It is also very cooling on the skin, something that is great when you have redness.

I have tried a lot of anti-redness products and all of those I have tried have helped me in some way. However, this is by far the one I rely on most. It always has an instant effect on reducing my redness that is visible almost right away. Having sensitive skin means that sometimes the smallest thing can set it off. My eyebrows usually go red whenever I get them done so I always have this with me to put on as soon as I am done and it helps so much in reducing the redness.

This is my go to product I use this most days and have seen a real improvement in  not only the reduction in redness but also the moisture levels in my skin.

Jurlique Calendula Redness Rescue Treatment Serum* is available from bigger Marks and Spencers stores and online for £45.

Do you suffer from redness and if so what are your go to products?

  1. I don't get a lot of redness particularly but I love the sound of the ingredients in this! My skin is sensitive though so could still be a winner xx

  2. I love serums and I now have to use one in both my morning and evening routines, as they make such a difference to my skin! I do get some redness on my face, but I don't really use anything in particular to treat it, but this sounds great!
